Here is a place to get some garden railroading tips. If you would like to contribute, e-mail me and I will be sure to give you credit!

Aristo Craft Screws

Having a hard time putting in those joiner screws? Here is a tip. On the end of the Aristo screwdriver, but a little bit of glue from a glue stick and then put your screws in. This will make it easier to install them. Also, I recommend putting a paper plate or a small sheet of cardboard under the joiner(s) where you are working so if you happen to drop one, it won't be that hard to pick it right back up.

Don't Rush!

No matter how much it kills you, don't rush through building your garden railroad! Because building it is just as much fun as running it! Take your time in the planning and construction stages especially!

Solder Rail Joints

If you are running track power, solder all your rail joints and use the longest straight sections as possible. This will virtually eliminate all continuity problems. I did not do this for about 2 years, and I don't know how I ever lived without it!
